Xero
Location: Auckland

Xero is a beautiful, easy-to-use cloud based platform that helps small businesses and their accounting and bookkeeping advisors grow and thrive.
Diversity of people brings diversity of thought, and that is core to driving Xero’s mission. Supporting a culture of inclusion is something we’re immensely proud of. We know that a diverse workforce is a strength that enables businesses, including ours, to better understand and serve customers, attract top talent and innovate successfully. A part of that is to support many types of flexible working arrangements that allow you to balance your work, your life and your passions. So, from the moment you begin your journey with Xero, we will constantly strive to ensure you’ll feel welcome and supported to do the best work of your life.
About the role
We're a group that own core systems that are key to the success of Xero's main subscription product, and power our 3rd party app ecosystem.
Our ownership of these means that we are often solving some of the hardest problems Xero has, and in the process even achieving some things that people said couldn't be done.
We're an awesome group for someone who loves to learn, and that's because you'll be growing your knowledge and skills from the minute you join our team and we can almost guarantee there won't be a day where you don't learn something new. This learning and growth comes as a result of the work we do, but also because our group deliberately creates opportunities to learn - we have at least a half day of Personal Development time per week each, a training budget per person that you can invest in your learning, a weekly Engineering Club where we learn together, and Lightning Talks where we learn from each other, as well as the company wide opportunities such as multiple communities of practice. We want to know what you want to learn and experience and we try hard to make that happen if we can. We understand that everyone learning and growing is not only good for them, but good for our group and for wider Xero.
We're known within Xero as a group that has a lot of influence in some of our biggest Xero-wide programs of work, and in a large part are key to their success, so we're not just looking after what we own but we're helping shape the technological future of Xero.
We would love to talk to you if:

We’re very supportive of flexible working arrangements and offer a competitive remuneration package including shares and life insurance, in addition to your base salary. We have a culture we’re proud of. Whether you're after a workplace with a social vibe, or a workplace which understands your family is priority - Xero is all of that and more.
