What does that look like day to day?
This role is a key player in the direction of our sales tax product in the US. It’s a fast paced and dynamic role within a high performing team. The focus for the next 6 months is finding product market fit in one of our most complex tax jurisdictions, the USA. If you have a systems mindset and enjoy deeply understanding the complex in order to make it simple, this role is for you. It’s a very customer focused role with lots of user research and opportunity to identify and scope new work. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in discovery and strategy work, helping to drive the direction of the product in partnership with Product peers.

What we need from you:

  • You’re an experienced designer, accustomed to user-centric design methods and best practices
  • Ideally product (Software as a service) design experience but we’ll still consider you if you have really strong design experience elsewhere.
  • Strong problem definition and articulation – challenging assumptions and 'pre-set' thinking around solutions, agreeing the purpose, principles and vision
  • You're a natural when it comes to collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure proposed solutions balance user needs, business strategy and technical constraints
  • Proven experience in creating effective handover materials which clearly communicate how the design should look and behave throughout interaction flows and journeys (e.g. User flow diagrams, design specifications, experience/interaction specifications etc)
