About the Role 

Zenith Energy is looking for a suitably qualified Mechanical tradesperson to work in the role of Field Service Technician on a variety of mine sites in WA and NT

The Field Service Technician Mechanical reports to the Mechanical Supervisor and works on equipment from OEMs such as Wartsila, Jenbacher, MTU, and Cummins.

Working within a small team and servicing remote sites, this position performs planned and unplanned mechanical maintenance on equipment at Zenith’s power stations. The role ensures maintenance tasks are carried out to the highest quality standards, thereby maintaining equipment reliability. 

Responsibilities will include

  • Execute planned and unscheduled maintenance activities on power generation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
  • Maintain and update service records.
  • Exhibit the highest commitment to Zenith’s HSE and environmental policies. 
  • Take an active role in always ensuring an incident-free workplace.
  • Act as a relief Power Station operator as and when required.

About You

As the Field Service Technician Mechanical, you will have the following experience, knowledge, and skills to bring to the role.

  • Mechanical Trade Qualifications
  • 2 years’ post-trade experience, field service experience would be beneficial
  • Experience in Engine rebuilds, diagnosis, and troubleshooting
  • Report writing skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Communication skills (Ability to speak to and manage clients professionally)
  • Competent in the use of Pronto CMMS or similar (desirable)
  • Remote site experience (desirable)
  • Experience in power generation on stationary engine systems (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with fuel system overhauls, as well as gas engines and gas systems, would be beneficial.
