Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) serves more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services to enable them to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures. It is a global business that brings together management responsibility for Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Insurance and Asset Management with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels.
Reporting into the Country Head of Customer Value Management & Marketing for RBWM, this position has direct accountability for growing and managing all retail propositions, enhancing the customer experiences and deepening client relationships. These propositions will include Premier, MFI/Millennial, Employee benefits, International, Corporate Partners & Retail Business Banking (RBB).
As a senior leader, you will work with product management and the local distribution teams, ensuring all customer solutions and offers add value, are competitive in the market and align with Group strategy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility and accountability for Premier, International, MFI/Millennial portfolio growth and growing market share, through targeted acquisition and retention of existing customers
- Embedding proposition initiatives and rolling out other Group strategic initiatives
- Managing the core propositions to increase overall customer value (moving secondary banking relationships into primary), through insight-driven understanding of client needs, value drivers, revenue pools and costs to service
- Accountability for building differentiation in products & services relevant to Propositions with the support from global and local RBWM teams
- Overall responsibility for customer levels (as opposed to product level) related topics
- Management of proposition goals with accountability for P&L targets
- Collaboration with Marketing to optimize proposition delivery and communications within the marketing budget
- Collaboration with Customer Experience, Marketing Insights and 3rd party vendors, as needed, to enrich the understanding of customers’ experience, client segmentation, competitors and market trends and the drivers behind customer behaviours
- Leading the implementation and deployment of digital and data capabilities to improve pre-emptive and proactive customer servicing messaging and communication, as well as digital acquisition.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in banking
- Senior exposure of proposition management product management or sales distribution
- Good understanding of digital delivery to customers within financial services industry
- Strong exposure and proven experience with mass affluent client segments
- Experience in High Net Worth and Retail Business banking segment desirable
- Solid experience of working with Marketing and Customer Insights and commercial management across products and customer segments
- High level of conceptual thinking abilities and complex problem solving capabilities
- High level customer focus, and ability to translate customer needs into products and channel requirements
