About the role
We are currently looking for a Dewatering Engineer to effectively manage site dewatering assets across our Tom Price mine operations. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong technical engineering / reliability background and an understanding of site dewatering infrastructure.
Reporting to the Superintendent Drill Blast & Dewatering, you will:
Lead site maintenance optimisation projects and implementing dewatering strategies
Manage the reliability of dewatering site assets (pumps, gensets, headworks)
Assist operational execution teams with resolving equipment breakdowns as required
Communicate with stakeholders to achieve dewatering targets (mine planning, hydrogeology, drill and blast, production)
Provide technical assistance to operational execution and project teams
Plan and implement capital projects for dewatering assets and providing dewatering scheduling to execution teams ( Bore moves, pump and generator sizing)
About you
You will have tertiary qualifications in Engineering coupled with demonstrated experience with, and an understanding of, site dewatering infrastructure. Problem solving skills and experience in reliability and defect elimination will further ensure your success in this role.
You will have sound interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate across all levels. An understanding of mine planning and associated planning tools, such as Vulcan and SAP, whilst not essential will be advantageous. A manual ‘C’ class driver’s licence will be required.
