About the role:
We are looking for a Superintendent Green Carbon and Technical to lead an experienced operational and engineering team at Boyne Smelters Limited (BSL).This role will interface with a variety of stakeholders to ensure a quality product is produced in line with production standards. Reporting to the Manager, Carbon, this role will work a Monday to Friday roster and will be responsible for:
- Designing and formulating practical solutions to proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a Zero Harm environment
- Taking a proactive approach to HSE by leading and participating in incident investigations, hazard studies and HSE improvement workshops
- Implementing and sustaining process safety standards for critical risks
- Optimising plant performance by leading a diverse team in continual improvement projects
- Leading and completing problem solving activities
- Establishing and maintaining key routines and systems to produce quality anodes
- Ensuring team objectives / work schedules are maintained in line with production expectations
- Driving technical excellence by mentoring and identifying development opportunities for team members
- Working closely with technical and operations stakeholders both on site and within the wider business
About you:

- Proven problem solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions
- A visual leadership style of guiding, mentoring, developing and empowering team members
- An unwavering commitment to improve and maintain HSE standards
- Process, workflow and quality improvement and cost reduction focus
It will also beneficial if you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
- Six Sigma qualifications
