This growth has put our Infrastructure Engineers at the forefront of creating solutions that help maintain or improve the communities we live, work and play in. Subsequently, from this growth we are looking to appoint a Project Delivery Manager in our Canberra team.
The role entails the leadership of the Construction Management and Project Management team fostering good team culture providing staff development, project oversight and ensuring strong project performance. The team is one of Canberra’s largest construction services teams with over 15 full time employees. The team has a strong pipeline for 2021 and is looking to continue to strengthen this business line working as part of an integrated service offering with the Infrastructure and Urban Development business across the Region. The role is full time based in Canberra with a balance of office and site based activities.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Leader, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide oversight and leadership to the PMCM Team
- Maintaining and fostering relationships with clients.
- Focus on development of new client relationships and business development into diverging market sectors.
- Managing a diverse team of Engineers, Project Managers and Site Surveillance Officers in the delivery of construction, contract administration and project management projects.
- Forecasting workloads and ensuring necessary material and human resources to meet project deliverables.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the Operation Centre business plans.
- Continual review and assessment of pipeline and annual revenue targets to ensure adequacy
- Managing work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements and is performed within the bounds of the organisation's policies and procedures.
- Proposing alternative solutions where established systems are unable to overcome project problems.
- Monitoring the interaction of various disciplines and providing specialist knowledge where required.
- Recruiting, managing, training and mentoring staff and conducting performance and remuneration reviews.
To be successful, you will have:
- 15+ years professional experience, coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Degree in either Engineering or Construction/Project Management
- Registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer desirable
- Leadership and team building experience desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to successfully liaise with colleagues
