Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

The Learning & Development Strategy team is responsible for client engagement and the design of training and development programs across the cluster.
The opportunity
The role is responsible for executing the development, review and implementation of learning and development strategies, programs and practices to develop the capability of the Transport workforce to operate effectively in alignment with the business strategy and capability plans.
You will be responsible for partnering with managers and senior leaders within Transport, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Transport for NSW Learning & Development to support the delivery of learning and capability development throughout the entire employee lifecycle. You will champion partnering with, and providing SME advice to the aligned business area, to implement learning strategies to meet future workplace needs through improved leader and employee performance and productivity. This role will require travel both regionally and across Sydney metro offices depending on project needs.

About you
We are looking for an individual who is a successful L&D consultant with strong stakeholder management with previous experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of learning strategies and programs. You will have a strong grounding in adult learning, and experience within registered training organisations will be highly regarded
Cricitcal to your success in the role is your ability to be an innovative Thought Leader, passionate about learning and development for our people, and always looking to challenge to status quo.
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent relevant experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of learning strategies and programs is essential.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 9A – 9E ($135,898– $152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
