Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

The opportunity
Right now, we have a leadership opportunity for a Senior Manager Light Rail Contracts to manage the Sydney Light Rail public-private partnership contract (and in future the Parramatta Light Rail contract), ensuring effective and efficient management of these service contracts to provide safe, reliable and customer focused outcomes.
In this highly visible role you will report to the Director Light Rail Contracts, and represent Transport for NSW to multiple external stakeholders, drawing upon your extensive complex contact management experience to influence and negotiate successful outcomes. Your prior experience managing a PPP contract will ensure successful delivery of services and customer outcomes, including business plans, budgets, risk management and compliance.

About you
You will bring extensive experience managing a PPP contract in an operational phase and demonstrated success leading a major highly complex, commercial contract.
As a seasoned leader, you will be highly influential with exceptional verbal and written skills. You will have a strong customer focus and a proven track record in driving business performance through strategic contract management and effective people leadership.
In this role you will join a small, close-knit team and have the opportunity to work on a significant transformation of the Sydney CBD at a time of record investment.
