About the role

We are looking for an Advisor Contractor Management to support delivery of Iron Ore’s contractor management strategy across Gudai-Darri and engage suppliers working with the contractor management system as it improves and evolves. This position is offered Fly in Fly out from Perth on an 8:6 roster.

This role is a great opportunity for an energetic and performance driven individual who is keen to develop their leadership skills. Reporting to the Contractor Management Specialist, you will be:
Supporting the best service to our contractor personnel and suppliers to drive improvements in safety and productivity
Coaching and supporting contractor management representatives across site to safely manage contractor engagements
Communicating and monitoring key contractor management processes and practices to deliver full value to RTIO
Ensuring partnership is a core value in the way we work with our suppliers and RTIO is the partner of choice for our suppliers
Confirm contractor management and associated commercial policies and procedures are in effective use across Gudai-Darri
Make a substantive and value-add contribution to the corporate contractor management and site teams on wider contractor management team matters.
What you’ll bring
- Knowledge of contractor management systems
- A diverse skill set and experience in one or more of the areas of operational leadership, maintenance leadership, procurement, communities, HSE, HR and Business Improvement
A passion for working with people and driving true partnerships with our suppliers
An ability to engage, influence and form productive relationships spanning several layers in the organisation
Previous experience in either leading contractors in the field, being a leader in the mining industry, or working in contractor management is preferred
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability A strong commitment to health and safety
