Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for 3 X Work Group Leader Signal Electrical to be a part of our Major Works team within Sydney Trains both in Wollongong and Clyde. These positions play a key role in the work allocation of a Signal Work Group and to assist in meeting agreed specifications and scope of works in an effective manner. These positions will report to the Team Manager, whilst supporting the Team Leader Signal Electrical to deliver all aspects of projects required.
As the WGL Signal Electrical you will manage the delivery of works while maintaining the safe operation and security of equipment and resources. In addition you will ensure staffs are competent and confident to perform their role and provide effective coaching and leadership to maintain high standards of staff performance.

About you
We are looking for a Work Group Leader who is competent, accredited and a qualified Signals Electrician.
In addition you must be able to demonstrate frontline supervisory skills, good diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills coupled with strong communication and collaboration skills.
