This a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional from a maintenance background, who is ready to take the next step in their career and form part of our Services team! In this role, you will support the Engineering Manager in improving the reliability of the assets by using all the Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) tools available and to contribute to Life Cycle Cost (LCC) improvements by optimising maintenance steps.
Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:
- Responsible for providing Train incident management expertise and guidance to MTS and the mobile Corrective Maintenance team through supervision and monitoring of Rolling Stock and CTBC assets.
- Regularly monitor train and CBTC defects and failures in traffic and liaise with key stakeholders by using Smart Railway System data and TrainTracer data processed in HealthHub platform.
- Produce complex, analytical technical reports on fault investigation
- Assist other team members, both Alstom and customer, with the development of technical skills by acting as a mentor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline or similar (IT/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Communications)
- Background in the Railway Industry (CBTC or Rolling Stock)
- Experience in maintenance or Testing and commissioning (Root Cause Analysis/ Fault Codes etc)
- Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) tools experience is advantageous
- Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
- Ability to work under pressure and respond professionally to unplanned situations
