We are looking for a Senior Manager Business Analysis to support the senior leadership team by providing high quality business analysis support and enhance value to the Pacific Operations in RTA. Leading a team of 5 professionals (managers/ principal advisors/senior analysts), the role provides leadership of BA in the Pacific region for RTA.
This role is a great opportunity for anyone who likes to concentrate on value creation, medium and long-term strategy, is performance-oriented and is keen to work in a technologically advanced, cost competitive Product Group. Reporting to the General Manager Business Analysis, you will:
- Engage with Senior Leaders and the operational teams to identify, advise, evaluate and optimise project value
- Provide solid analytical support to senior management across the BUs and Functions supported by FBPs in delivering value-accretive projects and balancing costs and risks
- Fully leverage the RTA Finance teams across FBP, BA, Plan and to maximize the value delivered in support to Pacific Operations
- Support Pacific Operations to build and evaluate business cases for business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare the Business Analysis review submissions to the RTA PG Investment Committee (RTA PGIC) to advise RTA SLT on relevant commercial issues/risks and opportunities.
- Influence and advise members of Pacific Operations and various MD/GM Teams on relevant commercial issues through the preparation of reports and presentations that analyse key commercial issues.
- Manage a team of highly skilled professionals, including proactive identification of opportunities for team members’ talent and career development, and succession planning.
- Support capital performance management process and prioritization
- Work with RTA Strategy to support all strategic initiatives for PacOps

- Ability to engage, influence and form productive relationships spanning several layers in the organisation
- Experience in commercial and operational roles equivalent to approximately 10 years. All experience in the mining and resource industries will be an asset.
- A degree in a similar area such as B.Comm/ B.Eng/ B.Econ is essential. An MBA or other relevant post graduate qualification is an asset
