ABOUT THE ROLE:
This an exciting time to be joining Werribee Mercy as our services expands. In August 2018 we opened an additional 6 Theatres supported by a new CSD and DOS admission and recovery unit, 2 additional Medical and Surgical Wards and a Critical Care Unit in a brand new, super modern building.
The new and existing theatre expansion now provides 8 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy /procedure room, with future plans to further expand endoscopy services.
We have a strong commitment to education, which includes running a post-graduate course in conjunction with the Australian College of Nursing.
We are looking for an enthusiastic ANUM to join our well established, stable and very happy team to help grow the service well into the future!

Permanent Part Time position

Werribee Mercy Hospital, Operating Suite
-
As an ANUM you will manage, facilitate and coordinate, on a shift by shift basis, the activity of the Operating Suite inclusive of elective and emergency activity.

In this role you will ensure key performance targets and access to emergency surgery are achieved
-
Provide a clinical and managerial support to staff and Perioperative Services Management teams
-
Provide and deliver a high standard of clinical care, contributing to quality, education and safety initiatives, practicing within ACORN and AS/NZ 4187 guidelines and standards.

Hours of work are based on a 7 day roster with full shift requirements and on-call component
ABOUT YOU:
-
Registration with AHPRA, Division 1 with current practicing certificate.

Recent experience working the Perioperative environment is essential

Recent experience as an ANUM is highly desirable

Post Graduate Qualifications highly desirable

Knowledge of National Standards and the Accreditation process is essential
