The role
CardnoTGM's Building Services team provides tailored solutions for a diverse range of clients and projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Design Engineer to join the team to assist in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions, and to coordinate the project delivery from conception to construction phase. This role can be based in either of our Melbourne or Geelong offices and will provide the opportunity to work on both local and national projects.
Reporting to the Senior Hydraulic Engineer, your responsibilities will include -
- Project delivery of hydraulic engineering design services including commercial buildings, residential developments, fit-out, transport, industrial park and government facilities.
- Undertake hydraulic engineering assessments and calculations for concept and detailed design.
- Design of hydrants, hose-reels and sprinklers, as well as drainage, sewer reticulation and water supply infrastructure for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
- Undertake site inspections during design and construction stages and attending meetings to negotiate project outcomes.
- Liaise with authorities and maintaining professional relationships with various stakeholders within the industry.
- Maintain knowledge and competence in the use of Hyena and other relevant design software. Knowledge in the use of Revit, AutoCAD and other software would be an advantage.
About you
To be successful you will display -
- Min. 3 years' experience within an engineering building design services consulting environment, with demonstrated strong technical ability in building services design.
- Experience in the design of fire, sewer, water and drainage infrastructure services.
- A relevant diploma or degree qualification in Hydraulic Engineering or equivalent.
- Current Registered Building Practitioner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Experience with design software including Hyena and other relevant design software. Knowledge in the use of Revit and AutoCAD advantageous.
