About the job
Do you have a passion for organisation? We are looking for a suitably experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Administrators (HSE) on a permanent, full-time basis at our Wagerup Refinery. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, this is an integral role within the health and safety team!
The key elements of this diverse role are the administration and maintenance of data management systems, procedural support, records management and controlled documents, providing accurate and timely reporting to the customers we support, inclusive of regulators along with the vital guidance and support to the HSE team.
Primary responsibilities in this position are:
Providing administration support to the HSE Team ensuring all administration functions and tasks associated with the position are undertaken and completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Supporting the Health and Safety Manager with HSE reporting requirements to meet corporate requirements, completing and distributing promptly.
Assisting the team to prepare and provide information to all personnel regarding health and safety matters.
Compiling site Health and Safety monthly reports, inclusive of legislative reporting functions as required
Collating and reporting on workplace Injuries to Regulators and Assist in their classification
Reporting any trends within safety statistics that may be of concern
Actively participate in all communication and awareness systems
Proactive involvement with continuous OHS improvement processes
Providing document writing development and support for controlled documents
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Formal qualifications in Business Administration or similar and or formal Health and Safety Qualifications are desirable
Highly proficient digital literacy across Microsoft Suites and other database type systems used by Alcoa such as Oracle
Exposure to records management systems (desirable)
Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, to deliver key messages across levels of the business, Strict adherence to confidentiality of information, and attention to detail, complimented by a drive to meet deadlines, and
A strong motivation to work efficiently unsupervised, and the ability to prioritise actions from a broad customer group.
