- Our Employment Taxes team in Melbourne is currently looking for a Consultant to help clients manage the costs and risks involved with employing and engaging people.
About the role:
This role provides great learning opportunities by combining specialist tax skills with a focus on ‘people’ matters. You'll be working with clients to ensure they are meeting their employment tax obligations while liaising with the ATO & State Revenue Offices. By following an end-to-end approach across design, implementation and ongoing support, you'll help companies reduce on-costs and manage the tax risks associated with their employees.
Some of the areas of tax you'll be providing assistance with include:
- Payroll Tax
- Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT)
- Superannuation Guarantee
- Employment Terminations and Redundancies
- Workers Compensation
- Employee Share Schemes (ESS)
- Salary Packaging
You will also get early exposure to business development and networking opportunities.
About you:
As an Employment Tax Consultant, you will come ready to build on your previous tax experience, knowledge and form new relationships with our clients and PwC team. To thrive in this role you will be:
- An effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Able to analyse risks/opportunities
- Interested in tax and law, particularly employment & payroll tax
- Curious and willing to challenge the status quo
- Innovative, with an interest in technology and data analytics
- Collaborative, and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment
- Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proactive and able to juggle competing priorities
