An AWS Skills Guild is an AWS Training & Certification service that enables customers to develop new capabilities and capacity for Cloud and Amazon related services and solutions and accelerate cloud outcomes. It is a comprehensive skills enablement program that applies cloud skilling and cloud adoption techniques to build cloud fluency and establish new ways of working across large Enterprise organisations. As a Cloud Transformation Enablement Consultant, you will be required to deliver a professional and valuable customer experience by successfully guiding and supporting customers to implement an AWS Skills Guild.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive cloud adoption and organisational-wide cloud fluency with AWS customers by successfully delivering and supporting high-impact AWS Skills Guild engagements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to the customer and account team on cloud adoption skilling and the organisational change aspects needed to build organisational-wide cloud fluency and drive new ways of working (includes but is not limited to stakeholder engagement, sponsorship, communication & marketing; reward and recognition; new way of working behavioural reinforcement; outcome measurement; champion community building; and education).
- Deliver multiple AWS Skills Guild implementation plans simultaneously. Includes managing project stakeholders; quality delivery (incl proactive risk and issue identification and mitigation); and implementing other project parameters required to meet project milestones and achieve cloud fluency, platform adoption, and account growth.
- Internalise customer context and apply business and technical skills to design and implement cloud adoption skilling solutions based on account requirements and constraints (includes but is not limited to designing and running c-suite thought leadership sessions, ideation workshops, hack-a-thons; Informal Learning Training (ILT); and other enablement activities to achieve intended customer and AWS outcomes).
- Work with the customer, Guild team colleagues, Account team, and other key stakeholders to consult on best-in-case ways to extend the acquisition of cloud skills to their application. This includes staying up to date on AWS roadmaps and releases and building strong connections with other AWS enablement service areas to be able to recommend practical skilling enablement activities that will increase cloud adoption.
- Align AWS Skills Guild delivery outcomes to meet customer and AWS strategic, financial, and business goals and validate and quantify business value realisation from project deliverables using key data and metrics. Builds realised value for customers by always seeking new opportunities.
- Support AWS Skills Guild presales opportunities with relevant sales and services teams, as well as partner and customer stakeholders (includes identification of sales and account growth opportunities during guild delivery).
- Contribute to practice development initiatives including solution offering enhancement; peer review and contribute to best practice IP creation; team building; recruiting; and industry evangelism (whitepapers, articles, public speaking, etc).
- Embrace and apply the Amazon Leadership Principles consistently. Proactively engage and collaborate with other colleagues and teams effectively to achieve common external and internal business goals. Handle difficult problems effectively and apply knowledge and skill to design solutions to ambiguous concepts.
This role can be performed in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. The successful incumbent will need to have the ability to travel across the Asia Pacific geographic area up to 50% of the time. Remote delivery will be leveraged when local and international travel restrictions are in place.

- 3 years+ experience in working within the consulting industry & managing consulting engagements, ideally in the technical and/or human capital fields
- Certification and / or at least 2 years’ experience driving organisational change
- 5 years+ managing initiatives/projects – with demonstrated ability to shape & plan initiatives/projects of work to drive a particular outcome; drive day-to-day initiative implementation (delivery, schedule management, milestone adherence); and manage risk, issues and escalations
- Training/learning development and delivery experience for the purpose of better enablement in both technical and non-technical fields
- Ability to apply multiple learning methods, shape and deliver workshops, ideation session, and informal learning sessions on working in the Cloud (100/200 level)
- Experience identifying and supporting sales and account growth opportunities
- Experience working with different cultures & regions in the Asia, Pacific & Japan geographies
- Experience working in global technology, with preference given to cloud adoption and/or enablement related roles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and c-suite engagement experience
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to present on stage at customer events for crowds of 100+
- Training & certification / learning & development business experience
- Knowledge of cloud services and/or cloud adoption
