We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team based in Ballarat to work on the X'Trapolis 2.0 project - Victoria's newest Rolling Stock procurement project!
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring effective warehouse operations and capacity planning by leading the Xtrap 2.0 project supply chain team by supporting, coaching, mentoring and developing the team members in reaching supply chain and business objectives. You will proactively and continuously challenge the organizational supply chain performance and develop and implement improvements in organisational performance
Key responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up Master Data information in anticipation of issues scheduling agreements to suppliers during the project ramp up
- Manage and ensure material availability for scope of supplier and coordinate freight & logistic requirements for overseas shipments
- Coordinate supply chain activities related to planning changes, supplier changes or technical modifications which may impact on supplier’s capacity or logistics flows.
- Support supplier audits, performance reviews and assist development of improvement plans
- Drive Supply Chain performance improvements with use of the APSYS Roadmap
- Coordinate all supplier activities to secure the end of production (missing parts) while minimizing costs, obsolete and excess inventories
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commercial, Legal) or equivalent experience
- Background working within the manufacturing environment (transport preferred however not essential)
- Previous experience with Purchasing and Supply Chain practices in a project environment
- Strong data analysis and stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be resilient in a complex project environment
