As the Partner Opportunity Manager for Worldwide Public Sector, you will work with AWS Partners that cover our customers in Federal, State/Local Government, Education, and Nonprofit market segments in Australia, New Zealand and other parts of APJ. You will be responsible for managing a robust pipeline of partner-led opportunities, drive revenue, and provide support to AWS Partners and AWS Sales. The ideal candidate has the demonstrated ability to think strategically and communicate clearly. You will possess industry knowledge and have a sales background that enables you to easily interact with field sales reps and partners..
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Help manage and drive sales opportunities through AWS Partners
- Become a trusted member of the AWS Sales team and own deal execution with AWS Partners
- Lead regular pipeline reviews with AWS Sales to ensure pipeline information is thorough and accurate according to internal requirements.
- Manage numerous AWS Partner requests and time demands concurrently
- Support training of AWS Partners on opportunity management in accordance with APN requirements
- Utilize CRM systems (SalesForce.com), data warehousing and other analytic tools to establish a sound record of work with each partner and customer

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
- 3-4+ years’ experience with enterprise technology, channel/partner sales, and public entity procurement requirements
- Experience in Partner Sales or overlay sales roles - building bridges and collaborating between partner and company field sales organizations to build mutual trust, sales enablement and joint sales motions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- Proven ability to deliver results amid ambiguity and change
- Consistently exceeds key performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting Federal, State and Local, Education, or Non-profit partners and/or customers in APJ
- Understanding of Cloud computing technology and a utility pricing model
- Experience of direct and Partner sales or within the IaaS/Cloud/SaaS markets
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
- Adept at using and customizing sales or customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce.com
- Affinity for complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
