Are you passionate about solving business problems through data-driven decision making? We are seeking an APJ Business Operations Lead for our Sales Operations Specialist team to help transform the way we operate as a key member of our APJ Business Operations team.
Reporting to the APJ Head of Business Operations, you will partner closely with business leaders, operations leaders, and field users, as your primary customers, as you apply your deep technical knowledge of the selected planning and workflow automation solutions. You will help turn requirements into work plans, prioritize requests, maintain backlogs and roadmaps, drive adoption through enablement, and ensure the development of the proper infrastructures to drive towards simple, scalable solutions to day-to-day problems, be highly organized, and be able to communicate results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way. You will proactively seek answers in self-service tools, and know when to ask for guidance. Must be passionate about your work, detail-oriented, analytical, and demonstrate problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate problems and roadblocks as needed. You will manage multiple assignments and requests/processes concurrently, prioritizing accordingly, and deliver timely results. You will look for commonalities across our business needs, recommend improvements to accelerate current scaling mechanisms, and leverage automation to grow our capacity in line with the growth of the business. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data.
The ideal candidate will have a history of leading high-performance sales operations teams and possess strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, and build solutions to drive productivity and scale to solve business problems.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop and execute mechanisms to increase productivity and manage the APJ business.
- Define and develop key sales support systems/processes required to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve revenue attainment and market development objectives.
- Support annual planning activities and develop actionable insights.
- Develop relationships and processes with sales, finance, HR, sales operations, and other stakeholders to identify and address business operations requirements.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis & independently lead projects as needed.
- Be an expert in analytics tools required to support Sales and Sales Operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ year of experience managing sales operations and business planning teams.
- Strong business-process design experience.
- Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing results.
- Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management.
- Familiarity with salesforce.com, Excel, and Tableau.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be highly beneficial.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Practical experience with requirements gathering for analytics solutions (end-to-end), over multiple technologies, size, and scale of projects.
- Self-starter who can operate independently.
- Able to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication and logical reasoning.
- Ability to influence project teams across a broad set of functions and geographies to develop new ideas and creative solutions for difficult, ambiguous and complex issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
- Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence other leaders, and track record of taking ownership.
