Our business is currently seeking applications for Electrical and Instrumentation (EI) Technician roles across our three refineries in Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup. Opportunities include permanent contracts, fixed-term contracts or being part of our future talent pool.
The roster is a well-balanced work and home one, being a 9-day fortnight, working days specifically Monday to Friday; and Tuesday to Friday.
Working proactively within diverse teams ensuring regulatory requirements are always achieved. Daily tasks of this role include:
Processing fault diagnosis including advanced electronics process control systems
Completing planned and unplanned general maintenance across the Refinery
Providing service and repairs to HV and LV equipment, motor drives (soft start, VSD), PLC systems, TDC-LCN process controls including associated field instrumentation, condition monitoring, lighting, power systems
Maintaining and operating power distribution systems, switching equipment, and sophisticated electronic control equipment
Installing of EI equipment and critical breakdown analysis
Contributing to the development of EI apprentices through mentoring and coaching whilst ensuring safe work practices are key!
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
Australian Electrical Instrumentation Trades Apprenticeship or equivalent
“A” class Electrical Workers Licence for Electrical Trades
Working knowledge of Electrical regulatory requirements
Successful history of fault-finding accompanied with excellent attention to detail
Experience using planned maintenance programs
A high level of self-sufficiency, initiative and dedication to work
Well-developed communication skills
Ability to excel in a dynamic, inclusive and evolving workplace
In addition to this, it is desirable for you to have:
Exposure to both DCS (preferably Honeywell) and PLC (preferably Allen-Bradley) systems
A good grasp of computer systems in a work environment
Previous experience working on an industrial site or process plant
