The Role
As the primary marketing lead for Megaport in Australia and New Zealand, you will build and execute the ANZ marketing plan that drives awareness, demand and revenue. You will work closely with Sales, Business Development, Product and Legal to develop and deliver creative campaigns that increase direct and channel sales success rate in this subregion.
This role reports to the Head of Regional and Channel Marketing and will work in tandem with a global marketing organization spanning four major regions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategy and Insights – Analyze market and company data alongside regional strategies to define opportunities, audiences, objectives, threats, and priorities.
Demand Creation and Nurturing – Own and deliver an integrated ANZ field marketing plan to expand brand reach, drive service demand, and meet assigned growth targets. Support the building, execution and refinement of global demand generation programs and campaigns.
Market Development and Localization – Translate market-specific buyer journey into multi-touch programs and campaigns using direct and channel tactics based on market maturity and competitiveness. Provide localized messaging and support development of global marketing assets.
Brand Awareness – Drive ideation and innovative methods for capturing audience awareness and greater mind share in the assigned markets. Lead market level PR and AR efforts.
Partner GTM – Collaborate with regional partners on the creation of joint solution value propositions. Drive the internal and external go-to-market strategy and execution with the use of the PartnerVantage program where appropriate.
Reporting & Optimization – Monitor, report and optimize for effectiveness.
Budget – Own and manage the ANZ marketing budget.
Leadership – Demonstrate excellence and maturity in aligning stakeholders and contributors on the achievement of regional goals.
Compliance – Ensure all deliverables align with SEO, Megaport branding, and Information Security & Legal requirements.
What we are looking for
6+ years in B2B and content marketing, minimum 5 years experience in technology marketing with high level understanding of cloud, data centre, networking and Enterprise IT solutions.
Hands on ANZ field marketing experience required.
Mastery of marketing automation software (eg. Marketo) is a must. Understanding of Salesforce.com and sales pipeline methodology a plus.
Experience with designing and executing multi-touch marketing and nurture campaigns for the company and its strategic channel partners.
Must have extensive experience with designing complete marketing campaign flows from lead and prospect stage to conversion and advocacy.
Experience with digital advertising platforms, such as LinkedIn, Google Adwords, and Google Remarketing essential. Proven record of utilizing social channels to promote regional awareness. Experience with SEM and SEO a plus.
Player-coach required – Must be enthusiastic about developing and executing the plan.
Superb writing and communication skills. Must be fluent in English. Japanese and/or Chinese a plus.
Able to work well under tight deadlines and to work with a high degree of independence and autonomy.
Creative, tactical and attentive to details.
