Your new team
The Group Strategy Reputation and Corporate Affairs team are energetic and highly collaborative, working with colleagues across the Fund and key external stakeholders to shape the Fund's strategic thinking and bring key strategic projects to life. You will work with inspiring and inclusive executives and peers who are all focused on delivering on our values-based, members first philosophy. This is your opportunity to join our newly established Strategic Delivery Office, set up to ensure the successful delivery of our ambitious 2030 strategy and FY22-24 Business Plan.
Your new role
The SDO has newly established the Information & Data Assets Program to deliver Fund-wide data & analytics capabilities to help deliver the Fund's 2030 strategy. This is a key leadership role on the program and will help shape & deliver this exciting & large-scale data transformation program that will see the Fund fully leverage its data assets to drive benefits for our members.
In addition to that, this role's key responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Provide business analysis, product management & business architecture leadership to the Data Program and its projects, collaborate & mentor product owners, senior BA's & BA's in the Program
- Working closely with Fund-wide stakeholders, ensure there is a clear line of sight from projects/features delivered by the data program -> data strategy -> corporate strategy
- Develop, own, and continually maintain program business architecture and a single view of the program backlog; establish processes & tools (or leverage existing) to help capture and manage program and project backlog items
- Working closely with business owners across the Fund, continually update the data roadmap & program backlog factoring in multiple competing Fund-wide priorities; provide clear & crisp prioritisation to the program and its project; actively manage dependencies and resolve any impediments
- Lead and actively assist with PI planning for the program, perform release planning for the program
- Lead and actively assist the program in business case preparation and initiation of new projects; actively track and deliver to agreed 'definition of done' and business benefits
- Proactively engage with Fund-wide stakeholders on behalf of the data program, lead program or project level working groups and similar forums
- Be the 'voice of the customer' on the program - Work closely with internal & partner delivery teams, ensure business capabilities delivered by the Data Program is fit-for-purpose and satisfy current and future needs of the Fund
- Lead initiatives to uplift fund-wide data analytics business capability (people & process) through delivery and transition of projects
- Help design initiative and lead efforts to uplift Fund-wide data literacy
- Assist the Program Director plan capacity and capability to deliver Data Program Roadmap, design RFP's & evaluate responses, and lead recruitment activities
- Communicate roadmap, features, dependencies, and other complex topics in a simple manner to executive & senior stakeholders
- Lead and promote a learning and collaboration culture that enhances continuous improvement capability through training; coaching and the provision of tools and which helps drive operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
What you'll need
- Significant senior and leadership experience in program leading the business analysis stream
- Demonstrated great knowledge and understanding of product management and business architecture.
- Demonstrated successes in senior program level roles such as Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Architect, Program Business Analysis; delivering large transformation programs from inception till benefit realisation
- Experience working in the financial/superannuation industry
- Strong experience working on data analytics, digital or similar programs is essential
- Experience working in mature agile / hybrid project environments
- Commercial acumen, underpinning solutions & delivery with robust business benefits & financial modelling of cost/benefit
- Strong experience working with any agile frameworks and modern concepts
- Ability to think creatively to forward plan and solve problems that are both operational and strategic in nature, using both qualitative and quantitative inputs
- Superior stakeholder management and communication skills, across all levels of the organisations and with partners
- Curious, task focused and highly organised and ability to get things done
