Melbourne’s very own Nobu offers a contemporary atmosphere and stylish surrounds. The split level venue features a sushi bar, private dining room, main restaurant downstairs and bar upstairs, offering a full a la carte menu.
In this hands on role, your creativity and passion for food will be channelled into the execution of the world famous cuisine that has made Nobu an internationally recognised and highly regarded luxury brand. Reporting to the Executive Chef Crown Melbourne, you will be required to train & mentor your team whilst liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including senior level management. Your advanced time management, organisational and task delegation skills will ensure efficient daily kitchen operation
Skills & Experience:
- Significant relevant experience in a similar Head Chef position ideally from a premium Japanese or fine dining venue
- Upmarket dining, high volume restaurants or hotel experience is highly desirable
- Effective leadership skills including the ability to train and mentor your team
- Capability to manage & monitor financial budgets and food & labour costs
- Skill to maintain high and consistent food standards at all times while following HACCP procedures
- Flexibility to work across a rotating 7 day roster, including late evenings, weekends & public holidays
- You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (including booster shots if eligible) or have a genuine medical exception to be eligible to work onsite at Crown.
