About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our division in North Ryde. As the newest member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective processing of your business unit’s payroll operation, including weekly/ monthly pay runs, national workers compensation payments and adjustments, and delivering a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, your contributions will see that you gain exposure across a variety of responsibilities including:
- End to end payroll processing and maintenance of your allocated pay run
- Effective data entry, review and signoff of employee master-file maintenance, such as employee addresses, positions, salary details, tax details, banking details, allowances, super and deductions
- Review of Termination payments and records
- Process workers comp payments while working with relevant teams and insurers to confirm details
- Management of terminations, reconciled effectively and entered into Chris21 in the timeframes specified in their KPIs.
- Accurate maintenance of timesheet entry into the Chris21 system via Kronos, Kiosk or any other time and attendance processes.
- Accurate reconciliation of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls as specified in the payroll checklists and procedures.
- Proactive resolution of payroll related queries
About You
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- Proven experience in a similar role with broad knowledge of payroll legislation and principles
- Strong experience in interpreting and applying awards/ EBAs
- Experience with Chris 21 and Kronos
- An analytical mind, detail focus and action oriented attitude
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong customer focus
