Koko is known for its serene setting aided by a beautiful water feature garden that takes pride of place in the restaurant. Koko offers teppanyaki, a la carte tables, a sake bar, sushi bar, tatami and teppanyaki rooms, all with breathtaking views of the Yarra River and the Melbourne city skyline.
Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, this crucial role will be responsible for assisting with the management of the kitchen ensuring that Koko continues to deliver an inventive, new approach to its operations.
About the Role:
- Extensive Japanese cuisine experience in a similar Sous Chef position, within a premium dining environment
- Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
- Effective leadership skills including the ability to train and mentor your team
- Excellent communication skills and experience with customer interaction
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational, time management and delegation skills
- Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
- Must be available to work over a 24/7 roster
- You must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (including booster shots if eligible) or have a genuine medical exception to be eligible to work onsite at Crown
