AWS is seeking a talented, self-directed Head of Startup Marketing to join the APAC Marketing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining the APAC marketing strategy for the one of the most impactful customer segments: startup companies. The world’s most successful startups are built on top of AWS including more than 90% of the Y-Combinator Top 100 and more than 80% of the Forbes Next Billion Dollar Companies. The role will be responsible for helping the Marketing team to drive the success of AWS among startups across APJC. The role will be responsible for creating and executing demand generation programs and campaigns, work closely with our corporate teams including the corporate web design and development team, the localization team, AREA Teams and the product marketing teams based in Seattle to roll out programs and campaigns across APAC. Ideally, you are someone that has experience working with startup companies, VC firms and incubators. You have an innate understanding for entrepreneurs, company founders and technical decision makers at early stage companies. You are knowledgeable about current state of the art cloud technologies and understand how technical decisions impact the success of fledgling companies. You also have a track record of building successful, metrics driven, scalable, customer centric marketing programs.
With the rapid pace of innovation at AWS, a successful candidate must be flexible and agile enough to meet the rapid pace of service launches and product updates. The candidate must be organized and programmatic in his/her approach, understands our services and products and managed the programs and campaigns launch schedule. He/she must also be proactive in preparing content updates and ensure we provide customers with the most relevant content and information in our programs and campaigns.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build an APAC engagement strategy for startups that is aligned with the goals of the AWS’s sales and business development teams.
2. Create and successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS through innovative, scalable and leverage platform programs - including online events, webinar series, developer community programs, meetups and customer reference programs.
3. Create a content strategy that produces messaging that resonates with and engages the startup community
4. Work with the regional teams to execute on the APAC startup marketing programs and campaigns to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets across APAC.
5. Craft and develop compelling messaging and tools focused on customers (solution videos, customer success stories,etc.) for use on the web, at live events and in customer facing programs.
6. Collaborate closely with cross functional and regional teams to design and implement programs and campaigns that positively impacts business growth and enhance AWS reputation.
7. Manage and establish best practice processes for all digital and social media presences in the APAC region
8. Collaborate with AWS business development, sales and customer support teams to ensure that startup customers have an exemplary experience on AWS
9. Drive success for digital marketing efforts through SEO, SEM, web analytics, social media monitoring and demand generation programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of work experience, preferably in marketing, marketing communications and/or digital/high-technology companies/product.
- Demonstrated success in programs and campaign execution, and/or project management.
- Experience in working with startups and venture capitalist
- A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results, driving marketing programs to ROI metrics.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and time management skills.
- Quick-learner with the demonstrated ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study.
