Our People Advisory Centre (PAC) are responsible for delivering accurate and timely advice on people-related policies, procedures, and people programs to leaders and our staff enterprise-wide. PAC is the centre of excellence for generalist advice, the face of People & Culture, and accountable for delivering trusted and outstanding service to the bank’s people.
We currently have a permanent opportunity for a People Administrator to join the operations stream of PAC. You’ll be responsible for processing administrative activities related to recruitment of new staff, on-boarding, staff movements, cross-boarding, off-boarding, and people program support.
No two days will be the same as you switch between actioning leader’s requests for staff movements, producing letters of offer for employees new to the bank, contractor extension requests, processing Service Awards for staff celebrating key milestones, off-boarding support including terminating in appropriate systems, and processing invoices across People Operations. Working to ensure that all requests are actioned consistently with a high level of accuracy within agreed service response times.
With prior experience in a People & Culture operational or administrative function from a large complex environment you will bring your strong attention to detail, passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and an eye for continuous process improvement. This role can be based in one of our main office locations in Melbourne, Bendigo, or Adelaide for the days that you’re in the office, noting that hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today.
As the People Administrator you will:
- Process P&C operational requests in accordance with the PAC Operations Procedure and within agreed service response times
- Ensure work completed is accurate and delivered consistently in a timely manner which contributes positively to the team’s brand reputation
- Take responsibility for positive and professional ‘customer’ experiences
- Provide feedback on processes to maintain currency of the team’s PAC Operations Procedure
- Regularly share experience and learnings with peers through group communication channels and in team meetings
- Work within the guidelines of the P&C Tiered Escalation Model and ensure timely escalation to a P&C specialist team where applicable
- Keep leaders/staff informed when processing more complex operational tasks within scope of role
To be successful in the role, you'll have:
- A diploma in Administration / Human Resources or related discipline
- Demonstrated high performance and prior experience working in an administrative role within a People & Culture function (or similar)
- A high-level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience performing operational administration tasks
- The ability to follow instructions and procedural guidelines
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to set work priorities to meet deadlines/SLAs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fantastic customer service skills and a passion for your own performance and individual brand
- Demonstrated ability to investigate complex requests taking ownership for the accuracy of the outcome
- Intermediate competency across the Microsoft office suite
