About the role
Based at our office in Blacktown NSW you will design, develop and implement applications and manage projects ensuring compliance with the company’s safety strategy and relevant Statutory and State legislation.
This is a flexible and independent role that requires an experienced person to be involved at all stages of project management to deliver for the Elgas business. Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Support all internal and external customers in relation to the relevant Occupational Health & Safety Legislation.
- Visit depots/distributors sites, review and address ongoing/current safety items.
- End to end execution and completion of projects/contracts.
- Complete auditing and competency reports at Elgas depots, vehicles and major customer sites.
- Provide training to staff and contractors and facilitate training sessions on legislation and operating procedures.
- Maintain contact with State regulators, attend audits and assist with the completion of audit findings.
- Liaise with all Government authorities, represent Elgas at relevant meetings and liaise with Inspectors on a regular basis.
- A relevant qualification: Bachelor of Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Proven risk management and safety/compliance leadership.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- Sound communication, negotiation and influencing skills (change management skills).
- Able to work independently and availability for regular travel.
- Confident computer skills and working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Broad understanding of LPG processes would be an advantage.
- Training & Assessment Qualification (desirable).
