About the Project at the Rail Network Alliance
This is the second package of Metro Tunnel works to be delivered by CPB Contractors, following the award of a $1 billion design and construct contract as part of the Rail Systems Alliance (RSA) in December 2017.
Construction has commenced and will be completed by 2025.
This fourth major works package for the Metro Tunnel Project covers the existing Sunbury rail line between the western tunnel entrance in South Kensington and Tottenham, and the Dandenong rail line between the eastern tunnel entrance in South Yarra and Caulfield Station.
Major works for the Alliance includes the design and construction of entrance structures that will interface with Metro Tunnel works at South Yarra and South Kensington and also major Rail Upgrade works in the Western Rail Corridor.
About the role
We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile Rail Infrastructure Project as part of one of Australia’s most highly regarded construction companies. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be accountable for:
- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
- Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Project Manager
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of finishes
- Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting compliance reporting
- Scope of works to be delivered includes installation of conduits, pits, steel trunking, surface troughs, signal assets foundations and base frames, foundations for signalling rooms etc.
Our minimum requirements for the role are:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil, structural, electrical or mechanical
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- Previous experience on Rail projects or individuals with utilities experience preferred.
- Manage self and team within discipline to deliver work between $10M and $50M
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities
- Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan. Safety Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan
- Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
