Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s People strategy, facilitating talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. Ensuring talent practices support relevant stakeholders and reflect HSBC values, the function reviews the people implications of business plans while delivering policies, projects, processes and activities in support of business objectives.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join the HR team in the role of Performance & Reward Manager. Working with the Head of Performance & Reward, you will be responsible for managing the performance and reward agenda in HSBC Australia by aligning the Group's P&R strategy for local execution, taking account of local regulatory and market conditions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the ongoing operational and reporting requirements related to compliance with HSBC’s regulatory responsibilities (specifically, the Banking Executive Accountability Regime), partnering closely with Regulatory Compliance and Legal teams.
- Keeping abreast of market remuneration and benefits practices and latest trends and providing quality external market information and analysis on trends and competitor offerings.
- Promoting pay for performance to line managers and employees and actively guiding them to tighten this linkage.
- Supporting the annual pay review process.
- Managing reward in the context of a global business, function and geographical matrix.
- Supporting the Head of Performance and Reward in the preparation of papers and reporting for governance forums (including Executive and Board committees).
- Managing the Benefits program, reviewing the competitiveness of benefits and increasing the awareness and uptake of available benefits to employees.
- Managing HSBC share plans, including buyouts, deferred share awards and employee share ownership initiatives and associated reporting.
