About the Opportunity
We are creating a ‘one team’ approach, creating a dedicated co-located Rest and TAL team dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience. We are looking to build a team of dynamic thinking and solutions oriented people with the ability to work in an agile environment and deliver with passion for our customers.
As a dynamic leader, you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of TAL’s claims proposition for Rest. The role will also be heavily focussed on the evolution of the strategy of the Rest Claims function and continuous delivery of the service proposition, whilst providing leadership to a team of claims professionals.

Understanding in detail TAL’s commitments to Rest and ensure these are delivered in line with expectations having regard for both timeliness and quality

Building effective relationships with all key stakeholders across Rest, Link and within TAL in a manner consistent with our partnership values

Understanding Rest’s strategic insurance objectives and principles and ensure that TAL’s proposition and delivery is in accordance with these

Effectively communicating complex ideas, information and concepts. Generate alternative solutions where required

Ensuring Rest’s stakeholders are more than satisfied with our service and other offerings

Ensuring that TAL delivers on our claims related service commitments. Drive a culture of customer centricity and continuous improvement across all staff and stakeholder groups

Monitoring and driving all initial implementation requirements, proposition evolutions and ongoing service delivery

Monitoring and reporting on claims related services to Rest are delivered in accordance with our administration agreements, other contractual or stated commitments

Developing staff within the Rest team to ensure that they become competent in all areas of the Group Life (and wider Life Insurance) Business.

Developing strong recruitment and on boarding processes, ensuring robust training and development plans are in place

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 7 years’ experience working in a similar senior role in the Financial Services/Insurance Industry
- Dynamic thinking, be solutions oriented with the ability to work in an agile environment and a track record of building teams that deliver with passion for our customers.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Knowledge of Super Funds and key partners
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Reinsurance operations (Preferable)
