About the role: You will be responsible for the daily running operations in the workshop and yard at the Brooklyn Portable Buildings Branch. You will also assist with load and unload duties and will be required carry out basic and minor repairs on furniture and electrical accessories.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Safely manoeuvre equipment and forklift around the yard including General yard duties as required.
- Clean and Maintain Furniture and Electrical Accessories for hire
- Load/Unload Furniture and Electrical Accessories in buildings
- Demonstrate a safety first attitude contributing to Coates Hire Safety Culture
- Use of mobile technology to sign off, sign in and check quality of Furniture and Electrical Accessories.
- Assist in loading / unloading of portable buildings from trucks, adopting our safety procedures.
- Spotting of trucks whilst in our yard.
- Perform general yard duties ensuring an organised, tidy and efficient yard.
Skill and Experience required:
- Exceptional safety awareness and experience
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current High Risk Forklift Licence and Competent in Driving Forklifts
- Basic Computer and Smart Phone skills.
- Time management and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work with in a team and autonomously
- Have a can-do approach to completing tasks and can take direction.
- Dogman/Rigger ticket advantageous but not critical
