Job Description
Do you currently work in a logistic, warehouse or customer service-based environment and looking to progress your career? Here at our Cambridge head office at abcam we are recruiting for an Apprenticeship Laboratory Logistics Lead.
Roles and responsibilities will include being responsible for supplier and internal customer query resolution, oversee and supervise the daily duties carried out by the Lab Logistics team. Accountable for new starter training and refresher training when applicable within Lab Logistics. Regular collaboratation with the Lab Logistics Manager. Providing summaries of workflow to team members and department managers. Monitor and maintain Lab Logistics Stock.
Lab Logistics stock 15,000 units weekly and support the Labs by storing and delivering 2000 units of consumables and raw materials weekly as necessary. Time management is key as complex orders can be requested and organising the team to do these around the daily activity will be necessary.
Qualifications
You will enjoy adapting to a changing environment and have a strong attention to detail. An effective communicator with a customer-focused approach along with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
The successful applicant will be dedicated to providing an excellent service to customers while being agile and supervising the Lab Logistics team.
Desirable but not essential is the ability to identify and implement lean manufacturing with previous experience of being responsible for a workflow that has individuals working towards a common goal.
This role will also offer the successful applicant an opportunity to complete an appropriate apprenticeship program to gain a qualification to support your growth with Abcam.
