About the Research Area Strategy Team
The Research Area Strategy Team are an energetic, committed, enthusiastic and ambitious team of scientists focused on providing the scientific narrative to support marketing campaigns, as well as the scientific expertise for abcam's product portfolios. The team take a solution first approach to problem solving and has a great sense of fun and adventure and a huge passion for scientific discovery.
Role overview
The Director of Strategy for Oncology & Immuno-oncology at abcam is an influential leadership role responsible for developing and driving forwards abcam’s short and long range scientific and commercial strategies for its portfolio of oncology and immuno-oncology products. Your goal is to lead your team of experienced scientists and collaborate with expert functions across the organisation to identify the unmet needs of each of abcam’s customer segments in your research areas and to prioritise, develop, launch and publicise market leading reagent and digital solutions to support the rapid advancement of scientific discovery.
The role also involves close collaboration with global marketing and sales organisations to develop market leading value propositions, campaigns, events and the scientific input to empower our sales teams to support increasingly complex customer purchase decisions.
Qualifications
To be abcam's Strategy Director for Oncology & Immuno-oncology, you will have the ability to engage, lead and develop our existing team, establishing strong working relationships internally and externally. You will have experience in strategy development in the Biotech/Pharma industry, developing and growing a product portfolio. You will also have a scientific background and ideally hold a relevant PhD or equivalent in oncology or immuno-oncology.
