Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for abcam Digital, you will be responsible for working with the Executive Leadership Team, the wider Digital team and key stakeholders to define and lead the implementation of the Technology strategy for the company.
- Lead and inspire a busy architecture and platform Engineering team on a day to day basis.
- Design, develop and implement the abcam architecture strategy
- Lead the definition, implementation, and review of the organisation’s systems development management framework.
- Authorise the structure of systems development functions and platforms. Responsible for alignment with business strategy & objectives and with emerging IT and digital opportunities.
- Create technology roadmaps which align organisational plans with emerging technology solutions.
- Develop strong capability to implement design led thinking into all aspects of the organisation.
- Manage stakeholders at all levels including C-level, SVP's and VP's
- Accountability for architecture at abcam, designing and developing solutions within that space accordingly.
- Design practical solutions that are aligned to the business strategy and significantly advance the five-year plan.
Qualifications
You will have previous global experience in a fast pace environment. You have a strong track record of architecture, design, build and control of team and capability, and knowledge and experience of Cybersecurity/Information Security and Compliance for listed companies (SOX, GDPR).
You have strong capability in packaged solutions, integration, automation, cloud infrastructure and technology. You have demonstrable full life-cycle experience with a background in B2B, B2C, Supply Chain or Manufacturing, Data (AI, ML, Governance) and Digital spaces.
