Job Description

This enthusiastic specialist is accountable for producing, marketing, and executing events within the UK & EMEA regions to amplify abcam’s brand image, increase customer engagement, and demonstrate our position as a thought leader within industry. Proving effective ROI for our events, they are required to be a creative thinker who understands our target audience, can deliver impactful customer experiences, and is results focused. Collaborating with global stakeholders it is imperative that the candidate be a superb communicator, meticulous project planner, strong negotiator, with the ability to connect the impact of events back to the business strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing budget, executing marketing plans, driving event attendance, compiling appropriate content, planning agendas, and assisting sales with customer meetings
  • Collaborating closely with RM, sales and marketing to ensure alignment and focus on presence, positioning, messaging & efficiency
  • Reinforce global messaging while ensuring localization

Travel both domestic and international is required up to 50%. This will include in-person meetings with customers, attendance at roadshows and conferences, and travelling to sales meetings. The successful applicant should ideally be based in the territory. 

Qualifications

You have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or another related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience. You have proven experience managing events and have excellent project and budget management experience. You also have the ability to work across teams and can manage stakeholder relationships.
