Job Description

The role of Inside Sales Specialist will focus initially on building relationships both internally and externally whilst also developing other commercial skills and generating revenue. Responsible for prospecting for new leads, opportunities along with qualifying and closing quotations for orders in select geographic territories. The Specialist will proactively research accounts, make outbound calls and join customer visits in their assigned territory, supported by and supporting other sales team members, as well as managing inquiries.

The Specialist will work closely with the rest of the EMEA sales team and can be based at our offices in either Cambridge (UK) or Amsterdam (NL); travelling to customers and internal and external meetings as necessary.


This role is an ideal entry level role in to abcam. The successful applicant will have a strong desire to work in science, particularly in sales along with a relevant degree. Whilst a degree is desirable it's not essential - attitude and aptitude are.

Adaptable to change and credible. Very organised with strong attention to detail. Ideally fluent in English and ideally German, Spanish or a Nordic language. An ambition to develop and grow with Abcam in sales or with opportunities across our many cross functional teams and departments!
