How will you make an impact in this role?
American Express’ Global Commercial Services (GCS) business offers a wide range of card and payment programs, expense management tools, consulting services, business financing and cross-border payments solutions to small businesses, mid-sized companies and large corporations around the world.
Within GCS, the Global and US Large Enterprises (G&L) organization is focused on acquiring and developing relationships with our largest corporate customers. AXP’s value proposition to this segment includes industry-leading T&E program management solutions (e.g. corporate travel cards, central billing solutions) but also a growing set of business-to-business payment products to help companies manage their spending while realizing cost savings, process control, and cash flow management improvements.
The constantly evolving corporate travel and supplier payment landscape creates an imperative to redefine what it means to be critical to our customers. As a result, the mission of the Strategy & Transformation team is to drive forward an ambitious transformation journey in the G&L segment that ensures our medium-term position is future-proofed and establishes a platform for sustainable revenue growth.
Within this team, the Director of the Global Center of Excellence (COE) & Global Client Group (GCG) Program Management will lead the various global initiatives to protect and grow AXP profitability and deliver increased customer engagement & retention.
Key Responsibilities

Ongoing Client assessment

Own the G&L portfolio roadmap from definition through to global delivery

Ensure hundreds of Client Management and Sales colleagues are properly trained

Define the overall client experience including value proposition, pricing, product, operations, etc.

Lead and develop a hard-working team
Minimum Qualifications
-
Possess outstanding project management skills including organization, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear tangible recommendations
-
Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal – with comfort presenting to executive audiences and synthesizing complex information into concise communications

Track record of outstanding people leadership skills and focus on developing strong talent

7+ years of related experience

Bachelor's degree

Courageous leader with a track-record of getting results through influencing management and building strong relationships

Strong collaborator that can navigate a large group partners seamlessly

Self-starter attitude with excellent time management, ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

Comfortable adapting to changing needs, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and still have fun

MBA and/or experience in project management, leading PMO teams, strongly preferred
