The American Express Network enables over $1.2 Trillion in annual spend and serves card Issuers and Acquirers in over 170 markets worldwide. Network and Acquirer Solutions (NAS) operates the American Express Network with the highest levels of performance, security, and integrity; and is supporting Network coverage expansion by onboarding new Network Issuers and Acquirers and launching a new Network in China. The NAS team is also driving a strategic, multi-year transformation to modernize the Network creating innovative products, services, and capabilities that anticipate the needs of customers by enabling more types of payments.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Director of Debit Product Management, the Senior Manager of Debit Product Management will have the exciting opportunity to be part of a key strategic priority for the GMNS business.

Senior Managers within Network Product play a critical role in envisioning and developing American Express’s emerging payment solutions.

This exciting role will offer a talented product leader the opportunity to drive the future of Debit by working with our key Issuing stakeholders. The Debit team is forward-thinking, creative, multi-functional and collaborative, working closely with partners across NAS and the wider organization:

  • Help defines the product value proposition, including the customer experience anchored in customer needs and industry insights
  • Drive strategic initiatives to develop and maintain products and capabilities that support product growth
  • Work with our key strategic partners to align, develop and prioritize the Debit backlog and roadmap
  • Gather market insights to identify new opportunities for Debit capabilities relevant to Amex Debit objectives
  • Develop and execute on the Go to Market, including operational readiness for new solutions

  • Project management mindset - Superior organizational skills with the ability to autonomously manage several initiatives at once and drive results in a fast paced, multi-partner environment with constant change.
  • Experience: Background in product management, creating transformational strategies, identifying future business needs, and understanding the payments industry.
