Ensuring we have the right compensation and benefits offerings in place for our colleagues is central to our people strategy and in ensuring we attract, engage and retain the very best people. This position, in the International Compensation & Benefits team, will take accountability for leading the compensation and benefits agenda for the Australia & New Zealand. Reporting to the Director, Compensation & Benefits APAC, you will be responsible for supporting and implementing Compensation and Benefits (C&B) strategies, ongoing management of C&B programs and building strong vendor and stakeholder relationships.

Be responsible for the management, development, implementation, and communication of benefit programs

Provide Compensation & Benefits guidance and advice to Market HR / HR Business Partners to support the people agenda

Lead and conduct compensation and benefits review, new hire offers, maintenance of Pay Ranges and review incentive plans, etc.

Lead and manage Workers Compensation program, claims and reporting in partnership with key stakeholders

Be responsible for compliance with all regulatory frameworks and American Express protocols, procedure, policies and audit requirements

Lead external partner and vendor partnership to oversee benefit program delivery including contract negotiation of program content, delivery and cost etc.

Be a subject matter expert to provide Year End support to Market HR / HR Business Partners, in making informed pay decisions on merit and bonuses

Be responsible for WGEA reporting

Lead Health and Wellbeing programs and initiatives in the market

Drive the reward & recognition priorities in the market

Work in partnership with Compensation and Benefit Operations, Medical teams, and HR teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of C&B related programs

Leverage opportunities to participate in global and regional C&B projects in support of our wider HR strategy

10+ years of experience in the C&B function

Strong technical skills in both compensation and benefits delivery

Strong understanding of the key drivers of compensation and benefit plan program changes in current market environment

Ability to handle third party advisers and vendors

Strong problem solving and developed critical thinking skills

Exceptional relationship building, influencing skills and ability to work autonomously with multiple stakeholders
