The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a E&I Design Draftsperson to join our Networks team in Eagle Farm QLD or Kidman Park SA or Thomastown VIC, for a 12 months fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Lead Draftsperson, you will provide electrical design and drafting services to the organisation from concept through to construction and be able to effectively work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of as-built drawings to enable field technicians to perform maintenance, checks and repairs to plant over the asset lifecycle
- Take the design from concept through to construction using 2d AutoCAD to generate the project deliverables
- Support of the engineers with development of design drawings, and associated deliverables
- Preparation of detailed design, drawing packages, and associated deliverables, for construction, installation and commissioning
- Sole drafter for all APA Networks E&I design documentation
Your background
- Strong drafting and design experience including AutoCAD
- Diploma in Engineering – Electrical (desirable)
- Advanced computer literacy skills and knowledge of MS applications
- Ability to work efficiently, effectively and to hard deadlines
- Flexible attitude to rapid changing project requirements and happy to work unsupervised

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
