Global Supply Chain Based Work Experience
Global Supply Chain and Strategy (GSC&S) has both tactical and strategic responsibilities across the whole of the AstraZeneca network. GSC&S leads the design, planning, and development of AstraZeneca’s supply chains ensuring we have the most efficient and effective ways of getting life-changing medicines to patients.
We take a broad approach to planning, balancing the demand for medicines with the capacity our company has to manufacture and supply them.
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 students to join us for a 1 week unpaid work experience placement based at our Macclesfield site from Monday 18th July to Friday 22nd July 2022.
Job Description
- An introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Introduction to Supply Chain walking through stages of supply to market
- Career advice from those currently working for AstraZeneca on the apprentice scheme, and graduates.
What Knowledge/Skills will the student gain?:
- Understanding of how a global supply chain operates
- Insight to the various teams and functions that support the supply chain
- Experience the workplace environment whilst making new friends.
Who can apply?:
To be eligible to apply students must current be in Year 12, and want to have a career based around Supply Chain.
