Within our Global Finance Services, The Global Process Owner - P2P, will be accountable for the development and execution of AZ’s Global end-to-end Purchase to Pay strategy through to our embedded finance teams and leveraging our Shared Services environment. In doing so, the job holder uses their expertise to contribute to and influence strategic direction for the GFS function overall. Working closely with the Global Delivery Director they set the ambition, develop the roadmap and support execution on the plan. The role explicitly includes Direct Materials and Supply Chain as well as Indirect purchases. The role also works very closely with Global Procurement to ensure a seamless Source to Pay process for AZ, and has joint accountability for the Group DPO target.
What you’ll do
Develop the medium-longer term strategy for P2P and T&E, including how shared services is maximised
Define the blueprint for how P2P end to end core operational processes perform
Define and sets the global standards, processes, and SOPs for the process
In conjunction with other GBS teams, identify technology simplifications to automate as far as practically sensible
Work seamlessly with the Future of Work Vendor on-boarding SME to enable the delivery of the new buying channel strategy
Develop data strategy for P2P and T&E and ensure high quality data to drive procurement and spend insights/analytics, appropriate process quality metrics and working capital performance.
Co-lead the P2P Process Tower within GFS, developing, flexing and onboarding the skills and capabilities as needed
Leverage relationships and external networks to bring best practice, market insight and leading edge development understanding to AZ
Coach direct and indirect reports, talent development and successor identification
Essential for the role
Degree level education, with significant experience in P2P
Proven leadership skills with an ability to lead cross functional working groups and teams
Conceptual, analytical and strategic thinking ability
Able to set and manage priorities, resources, performance targets and project initiatives in a global and regional environment
Willingness to travel
Ability to influence strategically and persuade considerately, while maintaining effective, positive, organisational relationships
Culturally astute and resilient – able to adapt style and approach to different geographies
Desirable for the role
Experience of running similar sized multi location shared service function
Familiarity with the latest research and thinking
Effective problem and conflict resolution skills and proven team focus
Experience of working with global procurement change programmes
Strong technical and systems architecture experience with industry leading solutions
