ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Business Operations & Transformation within the Insights & Technology Excellence (IGNITE) organization, you’ll work with leaders across AZ and globally within IT to ensure strategic and operational alignment of enterprise products and services that enable data and analytics, technology innovation, enterprise architecture, application integration, and digital services including Agile, lean, and user experience.
As an integral part of leadership team, you’ll manage a team of program/project managers, business analysts, and change/communications practitioners. You’ll guide and develop a multi-year strategy and drive planning and service excellence across over 25 enterprise services within the IGNITE organization. You will ensure demand forecasts, service budgets, cost recovery models, and service roadmaps are clearly defined, aligned to corporate guidance, and effectively communicated to partners. You will lead productivity targets across the organization, and ensure overall financial goals are met while maximizing business outcomes. This role will establish a quarterly cadence for reviewing and handling challenges and risk across all product and service teams to ensure best practices in service excellence.
This role will also develop and maintain operating models to ensure effective business alignment and engagement. You will represent the IGNITE leadership by partnering closely with Global IT leaders and the other business transformation and operating model initiatives across the company to ensure IGNITE products and services are aligned with broader strategies, investments, and risk profiles of the company.
Within IGNITE, you will run daily business operations. You will drive a regular cadence of internal IGNITE leadership, management, and team meetings / communications to ensure the product and service delivery teams are integrated, aligned, and working as one team. You’ll actively sponsor initiatives to improve culture and engagement across the IGNITE organization; and partner with finance, human resources, and other corporate functions to ensure financial and organizational development and change plans are effectively developed and driven across the IGNITE organization. This role will lead change / awareness efforts as we communicate IGNITE product, services, news, and accomplishments both within the team and across the business. You’ll also work corporate communications to support any business or external communications where the IGNITE leadership team is asked to engage or contribute.
Overall Typical accountabilities include:
- Guide and Facilitate a multi-year strategy and roadmap for 25+ enterprise services,
- Drive service excellence and consistent rigor and discipline across each of the IGNITE service teams
- Manage Delivery & Performanceoptimising program/project management capability across IGNITE
- Define & Maintain Operating Model
- Manage Business Operations for IGNITE .
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience of program and portfolio management processes in a complex regulated multi-national environment
- Extensive experience working in multi-layered teams in a global environment
- Experience operating in complex, large, matrixed IT organisations.
- Experience of working with senior leaders, including VP level, to support strategic business performance optimisation
- Experience building and implementing effective transition plans to required targets
- Understanding of portfolio management concepts
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and contracting concepts / processes
- Solid understanding of deploying OKRs/KPIs metrics for enhanced business performance and utilising benchmarking for effective target setting
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple leadership layers to develop critical business outcomes
- Ability to influence and challenge at a senior level and communicate complex issues in a simple and effective way
- Effective analytical skills to find opportunities for performance improvement and enhanced business/approach agility – including within portfolio and performance working
- Knowledge of transformation delivery approaches and methods, including Agile and waterfall and the relative pros and cons when using those and other methods
- Effective methodical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective networker able to form effective working relationships at different levels and with different partner groups to address specific issues and/or deliver specific outcomes
- Track record in building strong and credible relationships and with key senior partners
