As the Team Leader Talent Acquisition Partner (TAq) for the Enabling Functions, you will play a pivotal role in channelling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on patients’ lives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone not only passionate about recruitment but also passionate about developing, coaching and managing a team.
The Enabling Functions in AstraZeneca is made up of 7 different SET areas. HR, Finance & GBS, Global Corporate Affairs (GCA), Legal, Compliance & Sustainability, GPPM, and Global Business Development. You will play an integral part of the Enabling Functions Talent Acquisition Team as one of the two Team Leader Talent Acquisition Partners to support the Global Talent Acquisition (GTAq) Lead, to ensure true partnering in all Talent Acquisition related projects or initiatives.
There are three main elements to your role:
You will take responsibility for shaping and driving the operational outputs of a great team that manage the sourcing and hires across the 7 areas of Enabling Functions.
You will have full exposure to Senior Business Leaders within the organisation and be involved in SET-1 recruitment and below.
Working with the Talent Acquisition Lead, you will have exposure to country wide, strategic ad hoc projects relating to many different areas within the business.
Key Accountabilities in the role:
Monitor team delivery using reports, metrics, kpi’s and use data to drive improvements, and provide training as needed
Working with the HUB and GTAq lead you will understand business priorities and tailor TAq support in your team to meet their requirements.
Mentor and coach your team and work with them on their development.
Be the aligned point of contact for the Enabling Functions, Global Talent Acquisition Lead, Business Leaders, as well as HRBP’s.
Deliver the recruitment services and inputs to the formulation of recruitment strategies in partnership with colleagues, HRBPs and hiring managers to identify and fill vacancies with talented individuals with the right capability and skills in a timely and cost efficient manner.
Develop strong partnerships with hiring managers and candidates, whilst building a pipeline of qualified candidates to meet both current and anticipated business needs.
Ensure assigned recruitment services are in compliance with Global Recruitment and country policies/guidelines
Gather and analyse feedback from various sources for continuous improvement
Proactively build and develop relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and other colleagues providing consultation, project management and service delivery
Participate in all activities in the recruitment life cycle including; recruitment marketing, sourcing planning, screening, interviewing, pre-selecting, offer management, hiring and onboarding
Educate the business in the use of Interview approach, recommend resources and techniques for interviewing, assessing and evaluating applicants
Work with continuous improvements to ensure that the way of working remains fit for purpose and exploit new ways of working and lean methodology to ensure a great candidate and hiring manager experience
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
Experience in managing and coaching a successful team
Experience in delivering full life cycle recruitment services
Experience in identifying and securing passive candidates via various ‘direct’ channels – Social Media; LinkedIn etc., networking, market mapping, careers fairs, industry events, etc
Proficient IT skills, including all Microsoft office, spreadsheets, databases, reports and able to produce meaningful management information.
Communication, presentation and project management skills
Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Persuading, influencing, negotiating and consultation skills
Educated to Degree Level or relevant recruitment experience
Corporate recruiting experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
In house recruitment experience
