In the Oncology Business Unit (OBU), we play a key role in driving launch and commercial effectiveness. We are focused on setting the direction and leading the business in shaping the cancer care environment and empowering care teams. What you’ll do

In this role, you will work to develop and roll out an innovative Oncology commercial learning strategy that helps build & successfully develop the capabilities needed for the business to deliver now, and in the future. As such, you will advise learning and capability development activities to meet Oncology commercial core deliverables, with a high degree of focus on business outcomes and impact. The individual will be accountable for assessing the future learning/capability building needs of our commercial organization and developing effective strategies to deliver appropriate interventions.

As the Head, Learning & Capability Development within Oncology Business Unit, you will prioritize

  • Diagnosing capability gaps

  • Building Oncology commercial foundational & future-ready capabilities

  • Developing the best training design that will enable teams to adopt and embed critical skills for business success

  • Identifying and leveraging learning platforms that improve user experience to access digital learning content

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • In depth experience in development and delivery of learning and development strategies

  • Strong leadership skills, including a proven ability to manage partners and influence the broader organization.

  • Design thinking, customer-focused and agile attitude to co-create, design and implement interventions to deliver value.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to translate sophisticated business/science issues into an easily understood format.

  • Gravitas and the ability to develop strong mutually beneficial relationships (internal and external) and establish a high level of credibility at senior levels in the organization.

  • Problem-solving using conceptual and data-driven analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Broad and creative thinking with exceptional learning agility.

  • A passion for delivering superior results and outcomes.

  • A track record of delivering successful change programs.


Desirable for the role

  • Experience developing learning & training programs for pharmaceutical commercial businesses
