About the Operations IT Team
Operations IT is a global IT capability supporting the Global Operations organisation. We business partner with Operations capability areas: Pharmaceutical Technology Development, Manufacturing & Global Engineering, Quality Control, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Logistics and Global External Sourcing and Procurement. We operate out of sites in the UK, Sweden, US, and China, and out of our Global Technology Centres in India and Mexico.

Job Description
The IT Project Manager leads one or more projects with a value of up to $3M. The role reports to a Capability Lead and maintains project accountability, from initiation to close, to deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. The role is accountable for developing and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments whilst meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas include collaborator management, risk management and delivery of business benefit. The project implementation approach may follow a waterfall or an Agile approach so practical experience with both approaches is meaningful.
Project Manager Accountabilities
Preparing and completing project plan, including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities, and quality as defined in the IT Project Management Methodology (ADF)
Handling project budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, organisational change, and status to support effective decisions and project reporting
Handling relationships with business partners to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project objectives
Responsible for steering / customer meetings, communication of status, issues, risks
Driving effective risks & issues management, ensuring processes are in place and used in an efficient way
Building a cohesive project team and provide the leadership vital to improve the team’s success
Managing changes to scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to partners and review boards
Assuring / developing service transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are balanced within a business-as-usual operations environment, including controlled hand-over into operational support
Ensuring the project team adheres to all standards including ADF, quality, and compliance, as well as processes, defined technical capabilities
Ensuring encouraged benefits realisation is consistent with project deliverables and clearly understood
Agile Accountabilities
Completes the Product Backlog as per the Product Owner prioritization
Mediator between the delivery team and the product owner, coaching team members. Facilitates stand-ups between the product owner and delivery team as required
Plans meetings and provides meeting cadence, determines who attends, including daily stand-ups.
Plans and review sprints and captures delivery team and product owner feedback
Coaches the delivery team activities aligned to product owner specification and priorities
Resolves barriers and controls the Scrum processes. Monitors the Scrum processes to increase efficiency
Provides reports for product owners and collaborators to present progress
Solves team conflicts with good communication skills
Required Skills & Knowledge
Technical or Business Degree or equivalent experience
Previous experience controlling IT project budgets up to $3M
Experience managing and leading global IT project teams
Experience working in a global organisation where stakeholders and project team members are geographically dispersed
Project Management and / or Agile Certifications
Desirable
Experience with Supply Chain projects – efficient candidates have knowledge of Deliver Domain (Logistics, Warehousing, External Logistics Providers, Global Serialization and Traceability)
Experience with SAP project
