The role:
The IT Procurement Associate Director will lead the supplier sourcing strategy and contract(s) execution for an enterprise wide SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
You'll develop the long-term strategy for a region or the entire category, and oversee its implementation to ensure that the company's sourcing needs are met in the most cost-effective manner!
What you'll do:
You'll be accountable for software category management globally, regionally, or locally including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract, performance and risk management.
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the Information Technology Software global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
Support a large complex global project team implementing SAP S/4 HANA.
Work with the business in understanding the global spend and identifying opportunities to increase quality and improve value for money. You'll facilitate the implementation of procurement change initiatives within the software category to improve business performance.
Lead the execution of a large global business and system implementation sourcing and contracting strategy.
Address Supplier issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery. Maintain contractual and business relationships with Suppliers to the highest standards.
Develop an extensive understanding of customer needs and the business environment. Build strong relationship with customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct data analysis based on internal and external data assets.
Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with suppliers.
Develop transition strategies for unsuccessful suppliers.
Foster trusting relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
Actively manage Suppliers through yearly performance ratings, strategic evaluations/segmentation, and developing plans for key suppliers’ development.
Manage risk and governance for the category.
Plan and review the performance of Procurement and other function teams within your area of responsibility.
Ensure appropriate supplier management methods are applied.
Direct new initiatives and improvement programmes aimed at ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, technical excellence and improving cost-effectiveness.
Advise on and drive procurement strategy ensuring procurement processes are in line with organisational objectives.
Lead, define, and gain approval of business needs and the translation of these needs into specific resource requirements.
Develop senior level contacts in order to resolve issues, optimise business performance and develop future improvement opportunities.
Essential skills & experience:
Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
Should Cost Modelling Experience
Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry
Expertise in Information Technology Software and system implementation services
Proven software experience in SaaS, IaaS, & PaaS
Advanced negotiation, sourcing, and contracting experience
Advanced Supplier Relationship Management Experience
Communication skills and ability to influence others
Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations
Desirable:
SAP S/4 HANA experience
Working in large cross functional technology project teams
Data analytics and cost analysis
Innovative contracting experience
